Title: The International Center for Studies on Educational Methodologies: History of a Project

Abstract:   This article reconstructs the events that led to a widespread dissemination of the Feuerstein Method in Italy and therefore to the foundation of the International Center for Studies on Educational Methodologies, on the initiative of Umberto Margiotta. In the first decade of the new millennium, he called upon some authorized Feuerstein training centers to run a project whose purpose was to spread the pedagogy of mediation starting from the theory of Mediated Learning Experience of Reuven Feuerstein and as specific objectives the construction of a synergistic and cooperative climate between  the various training centers active in Italy, the promotion of a research plan, the experimentation and application of cognitive and relational methodologies aimed at favoring the teaching-learning process, the creation of an internationally inclusive community.

Abstract: In questo articolo si ricostruiscono le vicende che hanno portato a una disseminazione capillare del metodo Feuerstein in Italia e quindi alla fondazione dell'International Center for Studies on Educational Methodologies, per iniziativa di Umberto Margiotta. Nel primo decennio del nuovo millennio egli chiamò a sé alcuni centri autorizzati alla formazione intorno a un progetto che aveva come finalità la diffusione della pedagogia della mediazione a partire dalla teoria dell'Esperienza di Apprendimento Mediato di Reuven Feuerstein e come obiettivi specifici la costruzione di un clima sinergico e cooperativo tra i diversi centri attivi in Italia, la promozione di un piano di ricerca, sperimentazione e applicazione di metodologie cognitive e relazionali atte a favorire il processo di apprendimento-insegnamento, la creazione di una comunità inclusiva a livello internazionale.

Abstract: Cet article reconstruit les événements qui ont conduit à une diffusion généralisée de la méthode Feuerstein en Italie et donc à la fondation du Centre international d'études sur les méthodologies éducatives, sur l'initiative d'Umberto Margiotta.Au cours de la première décennie du nouveau millénaire, il a appelé certains centres autorisés à s'entraîner autour d'un projet qui avait comme objectif la propagation de la pédagogie de la médiation à partir de la théorie de l'expérience d'apprentissage médiée de Reuven Feuerstein et comme objectifs spécifiques de la construction d'une recherche synergique et coopérative entre les divers centres actifs, la promotion d'une recherche, de l'expérimentation et de l'application des méthodes rond.
